2020 Noyce PI Summer Block Party

Noyce PI Summer Block Party

July 14

11:30 AM – 6:30 PM ET

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) co-hosted our first-ever virtual Noyce event on July 14. It began with an orientation for new Noyce awardees led by NSF Noyce Program Directors, NSF Division of Grants Administration (DGA) staff, and ICF personnel who administer the Noyce Annual Data Collection. Next, a welcome to current and new Noyce Principal Investigators (PIs) from Noyce Program Directors Kathleen Bergin and Karen Keene, NSF Division Director Robin Wright, and AAAS’ Jennifer Carinci set the stage for the sessions and put efforts in the context of current events. Community-building activities among current and new awardees followed including: peer- and NSF-led breakout groups within Noyce Program Director and awardee tracks, and panel presentations from some seasoned PIs, allowing time to exchange lessons learned and answer questions to aid PIs in important work moving forward. We ended with networking sessions.  See the Speakers Guide.
