NSF Noyce Program Solicitation

Please refer to NSF 21-578. This solicitation has just been updated. The due date has been set as the last Tuesday in August.  Please read the following memo about a revision in the solicitation.

To: All Institutions Submitting a Noyce Track 1, 2, or 3 Proposal in Response to Solicitation 21-578

There has been a revision to the definition of “high-need local education agency,” a.k.a. “high-need school district,” in solicitation 21-578.  This definition only applies to proposals submitted to solicitation 21-578.  We want to make sure that your attention is drawn to this important revision that just occurred.

Please refer to “Definitions of Terms Section II: Project Description” in Solicitation 21-578.  Please note the following:

  • There are no numeric percentages associated with part “b” of the definition of “high-need LEA.”  The removed numeric percentages should not be considered appropriate for determining whether a school district meets the definition of “high-need.”
  • It is the responsibility of the proposer to identify at least one high-need LEA (a.k.a. high-need school district) that will serve as a partner in a Track 1, 2, or 3 proposal submitted in response to solicitation 21-578.
  • It is the responsibility of the proposer to provide information in their proposal that supports the claim that a proposed partner district is a “high-need LEA” by meeting at least one criterion in part “a” and one criterion in part “b”.
  • Be reminded, if there is least one school is a district that meets one criterion in part “a” and one criterion in part “b,” this district is considered a high-need LEA.
