Goals

Participants will learn about: 1. Designing clinically rich, mutually beneficial, and engaging partnerships in schools that build across time, 2. How to engage as a scholar in clinical placements so that you are a part of the community

Evidence

Scholars will share their stories (case study/narrative), data collected – both quantitative and qualitative has been analyzed – themes have included powerful and intentionally designed experiences that have been beneficial to individuals, as well as the collective classroom and school communities,

Proposal

Intentionally designed clinical experiences have the power to impact the classroom, school, community and Scholars in significant ways. In this session we will share strategies and tips for designing clinical experiences that have the potential to impact these spaces for years beyond the Scholars time. In addition, current and past Scholars will share the ways in which they navigated their placements to be the most impactful.
