Abstract
This study looks at the ways in which Peer to Peer Instruction in the Geometry class can help Spanish speaking students improve their academic understanding as well as their motivation to learn. By having lesson plans geared towards peer to peer instruction, where students are encouraged to explain their learning to each other in whatever manner feels comfortable, in whatever language feels comfortable or combinations of thereof, students that find English to be out of their comfort zone, are almost certain to increase their involvement and understanding (of geometry), as well as their motivation to learn.
