Abstract

Supporting New Teachers- We have supported Noyce Scholars both during their credential year and into their first years of teaching. SDSU’s exemplary Noyce Master Teaching Fellows serve as Mentors for the Noyce Scholars both during their credential year and as novice teachers. In particular, Noyce Scholars, during their first years of teaching, visited Noyce Master Teaching Fellows and the Noyce Master Teaching Fellows visited the Noyce Scholars and provided support. In this poster, we describe the types of mentoring Scholars received, and the share the perceptions of the Scholars and Mentors.
