Precalculus Project-Based Learning Poster on Conic Sections

Abstract

This project was implemented in several Precalculus classrooms to teach a unit on Conic Sections. The purpose of this project was to introduce project-based learning and to explore real-world applications of circles and ellipses with math students. Students were tasked with designing their own venue for an event to be held in their community, incorporated circles and/or ellipses and justifying their design and event.
