Abstract

How can you make 3-dimensional solids come to life? How can students make sense of the different formulas? This fun hands on project helps students comprehend 3-D solids of revolution in AP Calculus AB by tying together functions, areas between curves, bounds of integration, axis of rotation and integration with respect to a variable.
