Abstract
How can students improve their mathematical mindset and start to take ownership of their mathematical learning? This project enhances the school community by helping teachers recognize where students are with their mathematical mindset and increase student ownership of individual learning which in turn will increase student on task behavior and decrease off task behaviors. Middle school is a time of great change and can be a place where confidence in math diminishes so lessons must create an environment of equite, inclusivity and rigor.
