Abstract

Our adventure as Noyce Master Teaching Fellows began in the Fall of 2020, which happened to coincide with the first full year of distance learning. Despite the challenges of virtual meetings and supporting students through a pandemic, we were provided several opportunities to collaborate, reflect, and grow as educators. Within the past year and a half, we have been able to learn and implement teaching practices form America’s Best Urban Schools, participate in lab research projects at SDSU, present at the Western Regional Noyce Conference, attend affirming learning walks at several school sites, and work alongside professors in math and science methods courses at SDSU. This summer, our next journey begins as students in the Ed.D. Program in Educational Leadership with a Science and Math Focus. Through intensive coursework and continued practice, our transformation from educator to educational leader continues. Stop by and find out more about the LOL MTFs at San Diego State University.
