Background:

I’m a junior student at UTEP, born in El Paso with Mexican heritage. I was raised by my parents in Mexico and when I started college I came to the U.S. I’m 20 years old turning 21 in may 1st. I’m very friendly as well as responsible and I always give my best in each one of my classes.

Why do you want to teach:

To be a candle in someone’s journey through education.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

I have been working as a Peer Leader for Precalculus classes, such experience has made a big change in the way see a teacher, now even though my job consist in give some examples and answer question, I note that every thing you say can influence the students in such a big way.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

That teaching is not just a job, but teaching is a matter of personal committeemen and be willing to give your best in all the things you do, in a few words is be willing to give part of you to every person you teach.
