Name of Noyce institution:
Middle Tennessee State University / Noyce Physics-Mathematics

NA

Background:

I don’t have much of a formal background in education. I tutor physics and math when I can. I came to MTSU originally as a recording industry major, but became soured to the prospects of the job market, so I retreated to other classes until I came upon Physics of Music. This class convinced me that I needed to be involved in physics, so I changed majors and decided to teach.

Why do you want to teach:

I am a glutton for punishment and selfishly want to be responsible for the success of others.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

I haven’t taught yet so…

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

It has meant a community of people that I can rely on in the future to help be a better physics and mathematics teacher.
