Background:
I have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health and Business Administration.
Why do you want to teach:
I want to teach because it is an intrunsic reward for me to watch students blossom with knowledge and understanding of content they were once never exposed to.
Describe a memorable teaching experience:
One of my ESL students took the PLAN exam and scored highest on the Science portion of the exam. This stands out because he is one of my students who struggles and needs extra help and extended time. We usually work together after school to make sure he keeps up with assignments and readings. This proves that extra time and assistance pays off.
What does the Noyce program mean to you:
Noyce has provided me the opportunity to work on obtaining my initial certification along with a specialty in special education. Providing this opportunity allows me to empower students with knowledge, skills, and the accommodations necessary to optimize their full learning potentials.
