Background:

I am beginning my 9th year of teaching at Southside Middle School in Tallassee, Alabama. I have taught math and science throughout these years. I the Fall I will begin my 3rd year at Auburn Univeristy as a Team-Math Teacher Leader Academy Fellow. I have been a part of Team-Math since 2004. My school was a CohortI school. I believe in the Team-Math mission statement and that mathematics in east Alabama has been transformed because of it.

Why do you want to teach:

Math

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

Watching my students learn to LOVE math and really understand it.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

It has given me the opportunity to go back to school and seek my Education Specialist degree which I would not have been able to do if not for the Noyce program.
