Background:

I graduated in December 2010 from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s in Mathematics and started this Math for America program, also at the University of Utah, in May 2011 to get a master’s in Mathematics with a teaching certificate.

Why do you want to teach:

I want to teach because I love to help people understand math. I want to share my love for mathematics with students and think this would be a wonderful and challenging opportunity for me as well.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

I love to tutor. Whenever that light turns on in a student’s head, it tells me that that’s the reason I do this.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The Noyce program gives many people the opportunity to teach and learn.
