Background:

I have participated in diverse educational programs: PR-CETP, Instituto 2000, AFaMaC, AlaCiMa, Master teachers in Mathematics, and others. I also prepare students for the Math Olympic Test: Education Department, “Operacion Exito” and AFaMaC. I earned high marks for the quality and creativity of classroom teaching, lesson plans and integration of technology in my math class. I won a Teacher Excellence Award in 2006.

Why do you want to teach:

I want to teach to stimulate the students to develop a deep knowledge in mathematics.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

The most memorable teaching experience in twelve years of hard work is to differentiate the learning for special education kids. This is done by making math more easy to understand with hands-on activities.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The Noyce Program gives the opportunity and the tools that a teacher needs to expand the content knowledge, pedagogical skills and leadership capacity.
