Background:

I am 22 years of age. I am recently married as of 10/25/10. I graduated high school from Georgetown Jr.-Sr. High School in 2006. In high school, I played baseball, basketball and I was the National Honor Society President. My hobbies are hunting, fishing, camping, putting puzzles together, and spending time with my family.

Why do you want to teach:

I want to teach to provide students with the knowledge of mathematics but so that the students will be able to survive in the real world.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

My memorable teaching experience happened during Parent-Teacher Conferences. A student and her mother arrived for conferences. THe mother thanked me for teaching her daughter math and making it fun for her. She said that her daughter always strugggled in math and would not do her homework but know she goes home and is willing to do her homework.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The Noyce program has given me the oppurtunity to pursue the career of education. Without their assistance I would have not been able to complete my college education. If it was not for the assistance I would not be filling out this profile. I would like to thank the Noyce program for giving me the oppurtunity to pursue my dreams.
