Background:

I am a Senior at CSU Stanislaus working on a Physics B.S. I have worked as an undergraduate researcher and tutor for 3 years. I am a U.S Citizen but am from Sinaloa Mexico. I have spent 4 years in the U.S Army as an Engineer and am currently in California National Guard 1-184th Infantry.

Why do you want to teach:

I want to teach so I can inspire the next generation of scientific minds from our own Central Valley.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

Through a course of various chemistry tutoring session I held at LGHS, I inspired two students to study math and physics at CSU Stanislaus and CSU Fresno. They are in their 2nd year and both love it very much.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

Noyce has provided me with a great circle to work with and has given me the opportunity to attend great workshops and lectures on first hand experiences in the teaching field.
