Background:

I attended the University of North Texas from 2007-2010, where I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Prior to that I attended Grayson County College in Denison, TX for one year.

Why do you want to teach:

I want to teach to help students realize the importance of science in today’s world and to possibly increase the quality of the scientific education that most students have experienced over the years.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

I have not actually begun to teach at this point in my career but hope to get into a student teaching program as soon as possible.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The Noyce program has provided me with the means and the great opportunity to take my knowledge and skill set and apply it in a meaningful manner to the future students and scholars of tomorrow. Without the help of the Noyce scholarship foundation, I likely wouldn’t have been able to get certified to teach at this juncture of my life.
