Background:

I tutored junior high school students in science, math and history. Also in my junior year of college, I tutored students in math and science.

Why do you want to teach:

I want to share my love of science with students and show them that science is not scary, it is actually fun. Also I want to show them that learning can take place outside of a classroom as well.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

A memorable teaching experience was when I went to El Monte High school to do a lab. I had to learn how to interact with different types of students. Some of the students did not want to learn so I had to find a way to get them interested in the activity.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The Noyce program has allowed me to continue my schooling at the University of La Verne and that has meant a lot to me because I have am interacting with great people who care about science and teaching.
