Background:
I am the first in my family to attend college. I have been married for 23 years and have two children ages 26 and 18. Teaching is my second career as my family has always been my first career.
Why do you want to teach:
I wish to teach because I have always loved math and jump at the chance to tutor my children and their friends. It was said to me that I should be a teacher; and it has dawned on me that I should.
Describe a memorable teaching experience:
A memorable teaching experience is when I was a substitute teacher, and saw the light bulb “click on” over a student’s head. It was such a great moment and is definitely what hooked me on becoming a teacher
What does the Noyce program mean to you:
The Noyce program has allowed me to continue my education without the worry of financial burdens. Thank you.
