Background:

I am a mathematics major with a physics minor. I plan to teach students at the high school level how to apply mathematical concepts through hands-on physical applications.

Why do you want to teach:

I want to teach because I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

When I was a high school student, I was taking an Honors Physics course with the football coach of our school. Despite many stereotypes indicating incompetence of coaches as academic educators, he was a phenomenal teacher. He would demonstrate physical applications in real life to ground it to reality. This helped me to appreciate physics as a science and eventually inspired me to teach the subject.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The NOYCE program has helped he with my financial needs. Though it has not changed my goals in any way, it helped to strengthen my desire to help young minds.
