Current academic or teaching status:
I am senior at CSUN, and this is my sixth year here.

School and school district:
I am currently a math turtor at CSUN math tutoring center.

Background:

I am a Junior Year Intergrated Mathematics Teaching credential Program students. This is my sixth year at CSUN, and I already finished all my math requirement courses. I will need to take addtional credential clsses in order to grduate.

Why do you want to teach:

Teaching people new things makes me feel fulfilled and satisfied, especially when people learn a new idea from me. I love math, and I like to teach people math. I want to get a job that intersts me.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

I don’t have much experience in teaching yet, but I remember when I was in high school, I usually taught my classmate how to solve math problems. I liked to explain and demonstrate concepts, and I think that makes me want to be a teacher.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The Noyce program means that I will need to teach in a high need district for 2-4 years; I think this will be an excellent opportunity for me to grow as a teacher.
