Background:
I have a BA in Mathematics, with a minor in Spanish. I graduated University from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have taught in China and am currently teaching for the Arlington ISD.
Why do you want to teach:
Education is one of the strongest foundations for a better society. If I can be part of those that create a generation of thinkers, then I could have no better satisfaction.
Describe a memorable teaching experience:
As a student, I have experienced teachers focused on failure rather than learning. Luckily, I have had a few teachers who focused on the latter. One memorable teacher pulled me from failure by making sure I understood, rather than just giving me a bad grade and discouraging me.
What does the Noyce program mean to you:
It has been the means for me to achieve my goal as a teacher. It also gave me plenty of resources and a supportive network to ensure success.
