Background:

I have been married for 19 years and have a thirteen-year-old daughter. I worked in the automotive repair industry for 18 years where I trained new employees and worked with students in the high school work study program.

Why do you want to teach:

I returned to college with an engineering degree in mind, but after seeing and tutoring students who struggled with college Algebra, I decided I needed to change my path and become a teacher.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

One of the most rewarding and memorable experiences I have had teaching is seeing a sixth grade student improve over a semester and pass the first district test she had ever passed.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The Noyce Program has not only given me the financial support to finish my degree but also connections that give me moral support and share experiences to help me as a beginning teacher.
