Background:

I have a BS in Biomedical Engineering with minors in math and chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University. I returned to school after a brief job experience with Nike to pursue a teaching career. I am endorsed in physics.

Why do you want to teach:

I want to teach to help students reach their potential.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

I have many memorable teaching moments. My favorite moments occur when the students have the materials they need, and their own curiosity to motivate their exploration of a topic.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

The Noyce program enabled me to see a whole year of teaching with an excellent mentor teacher. The monetary scholarship enabled me to finish my graduate degree on time.
