Background:
Graduated from Georgia Tech with an ISyE degree in 1992. Worked as an engineer for Pepsico for 12 years. Have been home rasing two boys for the last nine years actively involved in local charitable/non-profit organizations.
Why do you want to teach:
I want to be able to give back to my community. Our area is in desperate need for good schience teachers. I love science and want to pass that along to students and help prepare them for higher education.
Describe a memorable teaching experience:
I had a math teacher in middle school that paved the way for me to have the confidence to believe I could be an engineer. I want to do that for others.
What does the Noyce program mean to you:
It’s gicing me a chance to fulfill the dream of becoming a teacher.
