Background:

I worked for nine years in a research lab at the University of Georgia and was the lab coordinator for the immunology lab for eight years.

Why do you want to teach:

I wanted to share what I know with students and to show them that being poor should not stop them from reaching their goals in science.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

They are all memorable at this time.

What does the Noyce program mean to you:

Without the Noyce program, I could not have gone back to school at all. It has enabled me to continue my education and to go on to teach many promising young men and women who may one day become the scientists of our future.
