Background:

I graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in 2007. I traveled the western United States working as a wildlife biologist, specializing in endangered species recovery projects. In early 2010, I made the decision to go back to school for my masters in education.

Why do you want to teach:

I have always wanted to teach. After spending time in the field and gaining those incredible experiences, I decided it was time to go back to school for education. I enjoy sharing my passion with my students.

Describe a memorable teaching experience:

The Noyce Program has been invaluable to my educational career. Without this program, I would have struggled financially during my time as a student. I would have had to continue working to pay tuition which would have added stress and caused a distraction to me while in school. Now, I can focus on my school work and student teaching. I sincerely appreciate this program.
