Need

We need to develop good models for supporting teacher-leaders in STEM K-5, particularly with a focus on environmental sustainability and inclusive practices

Research Questions

How can we define inclusive and sustainable K-5 STEM Teacher leaders and their actions?

Approach

We’ve worked with a team of stakeholders (teachers & administrators) from multiple schools/districts in our area to refine models presented in prior Noyce programs from across the country.

Outcomes

We’ve nailed down a consensus model for sustainable and inclusive K-5 STEM teacher leaders and are writing a Track 3 Noyce proposal this summer to support additional teachers in this area.

Broader Impacts

We intend to build a cadre of teacher-leaders through a Track 3 grant this summer.
