Need
In a response to the national, state, and local call for more STEM educators, we needed experienced advice from secondary educators to modify our curriculum.
Research Questions
Exploring the potential to collaborate with local teachers in high-needs school districts.
Approach
Convened a workshop in order to establish mutual collaboration between faculty and teachers.
Outcomes
The workshop was received enthusiastically by both faculty and teachers and both groups want to continue the dialogue.
Broader Impacts
This can serve as a model for other rural constituents.
