Nominations for the Voices from the Field panel for July 2016 Noyce Summit

The 2016 Noyce Summit will include a Voices from the Field session. In this session, a small group of current and former Noyce Scholars and Fellows are selected to serve as panelists to describe their experiences as Noyce-prepared teachers and/or teacher leaders in high-need school districts.

Panel nominees should be:

  1. Recent (within the last 2 years) Noyce Scholarship & Stipend graduates who are currently teaching in a high-need school district; OR
  2. Current or recent (within the last 2 years) Noyce Teaching Fellowship or Noyce Master Teaching Fellowship recipients who are currently teaching in a high-need school district.

Panel nominees should be exemplary Noyce Scholars or Fellows who are able to verbally articulate and capture (a) how your Noyce project prepared them to be effective STEM teachers in high-need school districts, (b) teaching successes and challenges, and (c) advice for current Noyce Scholars and Fellows. Additionally, nominees for the panel should be well-spoken, have a unique “Noyce experience story” to share with attendees, and plan to attend the Noyce Summit July 20-22, 2016, in Washington, DC.

Submit your nomination by completing the nomination form here.

Selected panelists from the pool of nominees will be notified of panel participation via email by June 4, 2016, and will be provided specific details about panel participation at that time. Keeping true to the mission of the Noyce program, the composition of the Voices from the Field panel will be diverse, consisting of panelists from different regions of the country, institution types, ethnic and gender backgrounds, grade levels taught, and STEM teaching experiences.
